The Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail’s Corrections Division is responsible for the humane treatment of all detainees housed at the facility. It is the responsibility of all staff to ensure that all detainees are housed according to their Due Process Rights.
The Corrections Division is responsible for the firm and fair care, custody, and control of all sentenced and non-sentenced detainees charged to the custody of the Sheriff. The Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail is designed with a bed capacity for 160 detainees. The Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail provides a complete range of services for all detainees while they are incarcerated.
A thirty-one person custody staff has been allocated by the Jail Director to provide supervision of prisoners incarcerated in the Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail. The Corrections Division consists of a Deputy Director, two Captains, four Lieutenants, four Sergeants, and 20 Officers.
